HSBC kicked off their four-day badminton tournament with as many as 200 shuttlers from various organisations taking part at the PGGMB Building yesterday.

The meet was held in conjunction with the bank’s 60th anniversary celebrations. The Deputy Chief Executive Officer of HSBC, Rosdi Amin, officially welcomed the participants yesterday.

One of the tournament’s organisers, Rena Lee, said: ”I was impressed by the response and willingness of all the teams to participate in this tournament. It is a great opportunity for badminton enthusiasts of all levels to meet and play competitively.”

”Apart from our 60th anniversary celebrations, the committee’s reasons for organising the tournament were to foster closer relationships and promote a healthy lifestyle among HSBC and friends from other sectors,” she added.
